Noah Brown, a former wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys, has officially joined the Las Vegas Raiders, as announced by the team on Sunday. This signing brings an experienced and physical target to the Raiders' receiving lineup, leading to the release of defensive tackle Benito Jones to make room on the roster.
Throughout his career, Brown has faced numerous challenges, especially due to injuries that caused him to miss 19 games during his tenure with the Washington Commanders. However, when healthy, he demonstrated his skills, achieving 40 receptions for 536 yards and one touchdown, with an average of 13.4 yards per catch.
Selected by the Cowboys in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft after his time at Ohio State, Brown became a reliable player in Dallas. During the 2022 season, he recorded 43 receptions totaling 555 yards and three touchdowns, contributing to quarterback Dak Prescott's efforts.
After his stint with the Cowboys, he moved to the Houston Texans, where he had a strong season with 33 receptions, gaining 567 yards and scoring two touchdowns, averaging 17.2 yards per reception. Over his NFL career, Brown has tallied 155 catches for 2,083 yards and six touchdowns.
While the Raiders do not expect Brown to be the primary focus of their offense, his size, toughness, and experience could enhance their receiving group. This opportunity allows Brown to further his NFL career after facing setbacks due to injuries in Washington.
