A 57-year-old man from Annetta, Charles Dewayne Ford, has been charged with multiple drug offenses following a complaint of drug trafficking at his residence. The incident occurred on July 2, 2026, when the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force collaborated with Kentucky Probation and Parole to investigate the allegations at a home located on Anneta Road.
During the search, authorities discovered a marijuana grow operation in Ford's closet, along with suspected packaged methamphetamine intended for resale and approximately $2,000 in cash. Reports indicate that Ford attempted to conceal the marijuana by placing it in a gallon Ziploc bag and hiding it under other items in his closet.
Additionally, law enforcement found a notebook in Ford's possession that contained information related to suspected narcotics trafficking and marijuana cultivation. Following the discovery, Ford was arrested and taken to the Grayson County Detention Center.
He faces several charges, including first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance for possessing two grams or more of methamphetamine, cultivating marijuana (five plants or more), possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and tampering with physical evidence. Notably, Ford was previously convicted in September 2022 for trafficking in methamphetamine in Edmonson County and is currently on probation until 2030.
