Baylor quarterback Nate Bennett will make his second consecutive start Saturday against Louisiana Tech, while DJ Lagway remains out with an ankle injury.
Lagway, a transfer from Florida, was hurt in Baylor’s season-opening loss to Auburn. He also missed last week’s game against Prairie View A&M after being listed as doubtful for the Louisiana Tech matchup. Bennett threw for 314 yards and accounted for four touchdowns against Prairie View A&M, but he also had two interceptions.
Louisiana Tech will also have a new quarterback behind center. Blake Baker, the Bulldogs’ starter, is unavailable because of a hand injury, giving Trey Kukuk the opening assignment. ESPN.com reported the quarterback updates.
