A new dining concept called Wonder is preparing to expand into North Texas, with a specific location planned for McKinney. The company, which operates as an app-based platform, allows customers to combine dishes from more than 20 different restaurants into a single order. The menu features made-to-order items across various cuisines, including collaborations with chef Bobby Flay and establishments like Tejas Barbecue, as well as Wonder’s own concepts such as Pop Salad.

The McKinney site is scheduled to be located within the West Grove development. According to a filing submitted to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the space will cover nearly 3,800 square feet at 8555 W. University Drive, Ste. 100. The filing indicates that construction work to complete the space is estimated to cost $950,000. McKinney is about 7 miles south of Melissa.

Wonder’s physical locations typically provide dine-in and pickup options, along with free delivery services. The company currently operates more than 100 locations across ten states, primarily along the East Coast. A representative for the company confirmed that Wonder plans to open more than 100 new locations in Texas beginning in early 2027 as part of a larger expansion.

The specific opening date for the McKinney location has not yet been determined. Further details regarding the timeline or specific restaurant partners for this site are not yet clear. For more information, the company directs customers to its website at www.wonder.com.
