The statewide average in Texas stands at $3.9282, while the national average is $4.4798. Drivers in the Dallas area are paying below the state average and below the national average.
The Dallas average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8370. Regular prices are about 9 cents higher than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $2.6601, drivers are paying about 121 cents more per gallon.
Diesel in the Dallas area averages $5.8447 per gallon, AAA reported.
