Texas Tech rallies past Colorado 29-7 in Boulder

Texas Tech recovered from an early seven-point deficit to beat Colorado 29-7 at Folsom Field in Boulder on Saturday, Oct. 3. The Red Raiders improved to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the Big 12; Colorado fell to 2-3 and 0-2.

Isaac Wilson found Joseph Williams for an 8-yard Colorado touchdown on the opening possession. Stone Harrington answered with a 52-yard field goal, and the Buffaloes carried a 7-3 lead into halftime.

Harrington’s third-quarter field goal cut the deficit to one. Will Hammond then connected with Terrance Carter Jr. for an 11-yard touchdown, putting Texas Tech ahead 12-7 after an unsuccessful two-point attempt.

Texas Tech added 17 points in the fourth quarter. Harrington kicked another field goal, John Curry intercepted a pass in the end zone for a touchdown, and Quinten Joyner finished the scoring with a 30-yard touchdown run.

The Red Raiders intercepted four passes without committing a turnover. Brice Pollock had two interceptions, with Malik Esquerra and Curry collecting the others. Colorado did not score after its opening drive.
