Rangers Take 7-4 Victory at Brewers Behind Duran's Multi-Hit Performance

Rangers Edge Brewers in Seven-Inning Thriller

The Texas Rangers defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 7-4 on Sunday, Aug. 30, at American Family Field in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The victory allowed the Rangers to improve their record to 67-70, while the Brewers fell to 85-52. Attendance at the venue was 37,996 fans.

Ezequiel Duran was the standout performer for the visitors, contributing significantly to the offensive output that secured the win for the away team.

Early Lead and Mid-Inning Momentum

The Brewers established an early advantage in the first inning. Bauers singled to right field, allowing Turang to score and moving Mitchell to second base. Shortly after, Chourio singled to left field, driving in Mitchell and sending Bauers to second.

The Rangers responded in the second inning when Díaz hit a ground rule double, enabling Freeman to score and tying the game at 2-2. Duran extended the lead in the third inning with a home run to left center that traveled 410 feet.

The Rangers added two more runs in the fifth inning when Duran hit a ground rule double, scoring Langford and Seager to make it 4-2.

Closing the Game

Pederson contributed a home run to right field in the sixth inning, traveling 380 feet, to increase the Rangers' lead to 5-2. In the seventh inning, the Rangers added two runs before the Brewers mounted a late rally. Burger reached on an infield single to shortstop, allowing Nimmo to score and moving Duran to second.

Freeman then singled to right field, driving in Duran and sending Burger to third. The Brewers scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning when Sánchez hit a home run to center field, traveling 386 feet, and Chourio scored. The final score was 7-4 in favor of the Rangers.

Pitching Performance

Kumar Rocker started for the Rangers, pitching 3.0 innings while allowing 4 hits, 2 earned runs, and 4 walks, while striking out 7 batters. Tyler Alexander earned the win, pitching 2.0 innings with 0 hits, 0 earned runs, 1 walk, and 1 strikeout.

Dustin May took the loss for the Brewers, pitching 4.1 innings while allowing 6 hits, 4 earned runs, and 3 walks, with 4 strikeouts. Grant Anderson pitched 2.0 innings with 3 hits, 1 earned run, and 2 strikeouts. Bryse Wilson pitched 2.2 innings with 1 hit, 0 earned runs, 1 walk, and 2 strikeouts.
