Rocker, Rangers Shut Out White Sox 10-0 in Arlington

Dominant Pitching Performance

Kumar Rocker delivered a masterclass in efficiency and control, allowing just one hit over six innings while striking out six batters. He earned the win, improving his record to 3-8. Marco Gonzales closed out the game with a perfect ninth inning, securing his first save of the season by retiring the side in order.

The White Sox bullpen struggled to contain the Rangers' offense. Noah Schultz took the loss after allowing five earned runs on 11 hits in 3.2 innings. Trevor Richards and Tyler Schweitzer also gave up runs, combining for five more earned runs. Luisangel Acuna pitched the final inning for Chicago without allowing any runs.

Early Offense Sets Tone

The Rangers jumped on the White Sox early, scoring two runs in the first inning. Nimmo homered 351 feet to left field, driving in Langford. The lead grew in the third inning when Burger doubled to left, bringing Jung home to make it 3-0.

The fourth inning proved pivotal for the Rangers. Osuna singled to left to score Díaz, followed by Lopez singling to center to bring Osuna home. The scoring continued in the fifth inning with back-to-back singles. Osuna singled to right, scoring Duran and Cauley. Shortly after, Langford homered 397 feet to left, driving in Osuna and extending the lead to 9-0.

Final Inning Closes Out

Duran added an insurance run in the sixth inning with a single to left, scoring Nimmo to make it 10-0. The Rangers finished with 18 hits, their season-high total, while the White Sox were held scoreless throughout the contest.

The game was played at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, before a crowd of 26,108 fans. The Texas Rangers improved their record to 51-50, while the Chicago White Sox fell to 53-47.
