Houston Texans receiver Nico Collins missed his second consecutive practice with a hamstring injury, leaving his status unsettled for Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts. Houston has one practice left before the matchup, but the team had not announced a final decision on Collins.
Collins hurt the hamstring while preparing for Week 2 and was sidelined against the Cincinnati Bengals. In Houston’s 36-31 loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 1, the 27-year-old caught seven of 10 targets for 75 yards and a touchdown. If he is unavailable at Lucas Oil Stadium, Jaylin Noel, Xavier Hutchinson and Kayshon Boutte could see more opportunities.
Tight end Dalton Schultz has produced the Texans’ most downfield offense through two games, with 16 catches for 175 yards.
A missed Week 3 game would make Houston’s Week 4 home matchup with the Dallas Cowboys Collins’ next chance to play. He has surpassed 1,000 receiving yards in every one of the last three seasons, reaching 1,117 yards in 2025, so the injury threatens that run. Collins previously played for the Michigan Wolverines and received an offseason contract adjustment from Houston.
