Henry To'oTo'o injured his shoulder while taking down Buffalo tight end Dawson Knox with 2:34 left in the fourth quarter of Houston's 36-31 loss. The starting linebacker needed assistance to get up, left for the sideline and did not return.
Coach DeMeco Ryans said Monday that To'oTo'o is expected to be out for a period of time. Houston has not decided whether to put him on injured reserve. The Texans drafted To'oTo'o in the fifth round in 2023, and he agreed to a two-year extension worth $16 million in August.
The Bills' 36 points were the second-most Houston has surrendered since Ryans became coach. Tampa Bay scored 37 in 2023, while Baltimore's 31 points on Christmas in 2024 marked the Texans' most recent game allowing more than 30 before Buffalo.
Houston's next three games are at home against Cincinnati, on the road against Indianapolis and at home against Dallas. Cincinnati, Indianapolis and Dallas each finished among the NFL's 12 highest-scoring offenses last season. ESPN reported the injury update.
