The Houston Texans have officially re-signed tight end Louis Hansen, marking his return to the team after he was initially waived in late July. Hansen had first joined the Texans in June. His return does not require any additional roster adjustments.
Hansen, who went undrafted in April, played college football at both the University of Michigan and the University of Connecticut. During his college career, he accumulated 46 receptions totaling 463 yards and scored four touchdowns over 40 games.
The current tight end lineup for the Texans includes players such as Dalton Schultz, Foster Moreau, second-round draft choice Marlin Klein, Cade Stover, Brevin Jordan, and Layne Pryor. Specific details about Hansen's role within the team have not yet been disclosed.
