North Texas will open the 2026-27 men’s basketball season with a four-game homestand under second-year head coach Daniyal Robinson. The Mean Green will face Southwest Christian on Nov. 2, McNeese on Nov. 5, Santa Clara on Nov. 11 and South Alabama on Nov. 14. McNeese and Santa Clara reached the 2025-26 NCAA Tournament, while South Alabama played in the NIT.
Overall, the schedule features three NCAA Tournament opponents from last season and two NIT teams.
The first road game is scheduled for Nov. 20 at App State in Boone, North Carolina. North Texas will then compete in the Snake Rivers Invitational in Idaho Falls, Idaho, from Nov. 27 through Nov. 29, with Drake, North Dakota State and Boise State listed as opponents.
The final six nonconference games bring the team back to Texas, with five in Denton. Bradley is scheduled for Dec. 4, followed by Mississippi Valley State on Dec. 6. Texas State will meet North Texas at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth on Dec. 13 in the Coast-to-Coast Challenge, the program’s second consecutive appearance in the event.
Home games against Winthrop, Bethune-Cookman and the University of the Southwest are set for Dec. 16, Dec. 20 and Dec. 22. The American Conference schedule will be released later. Season tickets are available through the Mean Green Ticket Office at 940-565-2527 or ticketoffice@unt.edu.
