SMU will begin its 2027 football season against Oklahoma at AT&T Stadium before hosting four ACC opponents: Clemson, NC State, Georgia Tech and Stanford. The Mustangs’ conference road schedule includes Cal, Virginia, Boston College, Pittsburgh and Duke.
The ACC is expected to release game dates and the complete 2027 schedule in late January. The league’s format calls for nine conference games, along with at least 10 matchups each season against Power Four opponents. The upcoming slate will be SMU’s second under that scheduling structure.
SMU has gone 15-2 in ACC play since Rhett Lashlee became head coach, the top conference record among ACC programs during that stretch. The Mustangs have won every ACC game played at Gerald J. Ford Stadium. They are scheduled to travel to Louisville this week to face No. 23 Louisville. The schedule details were reported by smumustangs.com.
