A football player from Crandall High School sustained an injury during practice and was airlifted for medical care. The incident occurred at the PIT in Crandall, located about 20 miles east of Dallas.

To inform the community, Crandall Independent School District (ISD) shared a notice on social media regarding the helicopter landing near the baseball fields. This was necessary to ensure the student received the required advanced medical attention. The district acknowledged that the sight of emergency vehicles and the helicopter might cause concern and emphasized their commitment to keeping families informed.

Crandall ISD also urged the community to respect the family's privacy during this challenging time, stating, "Our thoughts are with the student and the student's family." Further updates will be provided by CBS News Texas as more information becomes available.
