Dallas will have four defensive players unavailable for its Week 3 meeting with Baltimore in Brazil. Cornerback Cobie Durant, safeties Malik Hooker and P.J. Locke, and linebacker DeMarvion Overshown did not practice Wednesday or Thursday and will not travel to Rio de Janeiro. The Cowboys and Ravens are both 1-1 this season.
Durant, who joined Dallas this offseason after four seasons with the Rams, started the Cowboys' first two games and logged 87 defensive snaps. He injured his hamstring in last Sunday's victory over Washington and was expected to miss multiple weeks. Hooker started the opener against the New York Giants before leaving after 12 defensive snaps with a fractured forearm.
Locke replaced him against Washington, playing 31 snaps before tearing the plantar fascia in his foot. Overshown will miss a second consecutive game because of a hamstring strain suffered in the opener, when he started and recorded seven tackles.
Jaishawn Barham is expected to have a larger role for Dallas, while second-year cornerback Shavon Revel Jr. is also slated for increased playing time. The matchup is set for 3:25 p.m. CT at Maracanã Stadium, where Dallas is the designated home team. The report was published by sports.yahoo.com.
