The Dallas Cowboys have completed their roster cuts, moving from 91 players down to the mandated 53 in advance of the 2026 NFL season. This decision comes as the team gears up for their season opener in East Rutherford while also working to finalize their practice squad.
Head coach Brian Schottenheimer remarked on the difficult nature of this year's roster decisions, attributing it to the significant depth and talent present within the team. The Cowboys' initial lineup features three quarterbacks, three running backs, six wide receivers, and a mix of players in defensive and special teams roles.
