Baltimore’s journey from its home city to Rio is approximately 4,781 miles. The game is set for 5:25 p.m. local time in Rio, which is one hour ahead of Eastern Time. Based on the schedule described by CBS Sports, the teams may not leave Brazil until after midnight, and Dallas’ return flight is expected to take more than 10 hours.
The Cowboys could arrive back in Dallas near noon on Monday.
The Cowboys will visit the Houston Texans in Week 4, while the Ravens are scheduled to host the Tennessee Titans. Previous teams that traveled similar distances received extra rest.
The Los Angeles Rams had a bye after flying 5,456 miles to London last season, and the Rams and San Francisco 49ers had at least 10 days before their next games after traveling more than 7,800 miles to Australia for a Week 1 matchup.
