Dallas safety Jalen Thompson is expected to miss at least four weeks after a hamstring injury suffered in the Cowboys' 34-31 loss to the Ravens in Rio de Janeiro. The injury occurred during the second quarter on Sunday.
Stephen Jones, the team's executive vice president, disclosed the expected recovery period Monday. Dallas has not said whether Thompson will be placed on injured reserve, although he is considered a possible candidate for the list.
Thompson's injury further reduces the Cowboys' options at safety. Malik Hooker has been out for the past two games with a forearm injury, while P.J. Locke went on injured reserve Saturday with a foot injury.
Prior to leaving against Baltimore, Thompson had played every defensive snap through Dallas' first nine-plus quarters of the season. He had also totaled 17 tackles.
