Baylor University quarterback DJ Lagway is currently considered day-to-day due to an ankle injury, as reported by head coach Dave Aranda. The Bears are hopeful that Lagway will be fit to play in their upcoming game against Prairie View A&M.

Lagway suffered the injury during the team's close 17-16 loss to Auburn in their season opener. Despite the setback, he played the entire game, showing resilience while leading the offense, though his mobility was affected. In his first game with Baylor, Lagway completed 27 of 54 passes, totaling 333 yards, with two touchdowns and one interception.

He played a pivotal role in a late-game comeback, overcoming a 17-10 deficit by connecting with Gavin Freeman on a crucial fourth-and-10 and later throwing a touchdown pass to Freeman with just seconds left on the clock.

Updates on Lagway's recovery are anticipated after practices on Tuesday and Wednesday, as the team continues to assess his condition.
