Melissa ISD is accepting nominations for its 2026 Wall of Honor through Wednesday, Oct. 7, for people whose work has made a lasting difference to the schools or wider community.

The district’s current nomination page lists a Sept. 14–Oct. 7 window and offers both an online form and a downloadable form. Nominators must provide contact information for themselves and the nominee and answer two prompts explaining the person’s impact. Self-nominations are not allowed.

Eligibility differs by category. Former students must have graduated from Melissa Schools and attended for at least two consecutive years. The former-employee category excludes current district employees. Community nominees must have made significant contributions to Melissa Schools. Residents should review the complete category requirements before submitting.

Completed downloadable forms can be emailed to wallofhonor@melissaisd.org or mailed to the Melissa ISD Home Office, Attn: Communications, 1904 Cooper Street, Melissa, TX 75454. The district does not list a closing hour.

The selected honorees will be recognized at the Cardinals’ varsity football game at Coach Kenny Deel Stadium on Friday, Oct. 23, and permanently featured at the Melissa Schools Home Office.

Start with the district’s Wall of Honor page for the full qualifications and submission links.
