Melissa, Texas, was listed for a $4,799.68 child-safety-fee payment in the disbursements Collin County commissioners approved Sept. 28, 2026.

The county register identifies Melissa as the recipient of check 565831, dated Sept. 17. Its description is specific: third-quarter child-safety fees.

The fee is connected to vehicle registration. Collin County’s fiscal 2026 schedule lists a $1.50 child-safety charge, and state law directs counties to distribute a share of that revenue to municipalities based on population after permitted deductions.

The signed county order confirms approval of the payment list. It does not establish when Melissa deposited the money, and the register does not identify a city project funded by this payment.
