In Class 5A Division I, Melissa enters at No. 8 with a 1-0 record after defeating Pulaski Academy of Arkansas, 63-21. This marks their debut in the state rankings. The team previously held no position in the poll.
Lewisville appears in Class 6A at No. 24, also making its first appearance. The Lions improved to 1-0 following a 56-42 victory over Dallas Highland Park. Lewisville was listed as not ranked (NR) prior to this week's release.
Sunnyvale enters the Class 4A Division II rankings at No. 9 with a 1-0 record. The team secured its spot by defeating Paris, 63-34. Sunnyvale was previously unranked in the state poll.
Other notable movements include Waxahachie retaining the top spot in Class 6A after a 72-14 win over Ennis. Galena Park North Shore remains at No. 2, and Sheldon King holds third place following a 70-10 victory against Conroe.
In Class 5A Division I, DeSoto sits at No. 1 despite a loss to St. Thomas Aquinas of Florida, 38-14. Comal Smithson Valley is ranked second, with an upcoming game against Katy Cinco Ranch scheduled. Frisco Lone Star moves up to fourth after beating Royse City, 41-26.
