Neto led the charge for the visitors, recording five hits and driving in seven runs across multiple innings. The victory improved the Angels’ record to 51-77, while the Astros fell to .500 at 64-64.
Early Inning Action
The game began with immediate scoring activity. Neto opened the scoring for Los Angeles in the first inning with a single to right field that plated Meckler, giving the Angels a 1-0 lead. Houston responded quickly in the same frame.
Jose Altuve grounded into a fielder's choice, allowing Wade Jr. to score on an error by third baseman Grissom. Alvarez then scored on a wild pitch by Angels pitcher Grayson Rodriguez, tying the game at 2-2 before another wild pitch allowed Alvarez to cross the plate again, making it 3-2 Houston.
The momentum shifted in the second inning. Grissom singled to center, and Ballesteros scored. Heineman followed with a sacrifice bunt that advanced Grissom home for a 4-2 Astros lead. Los Angeles answered later in the inning when Frazier’s ground ball resulted in an overturned challenge on the field, allowing Lowe to score and tie the game at 4-4.
Neto’s Offensive Surge
Neto took over in the fourth inning, driving in multiple runs to swing the game firmly into Angels hands. He doubled to center to score Lowe, then singled to left to bring Frazier home. Ballesteros added a single to left that scored both Trout and Meckler, extending the lead to 8-4.
