Andrew Alvarez started for Washington, pitching 5.2 innings and allowing five earned runs on four hits with five walks. He took the loss, dropping his record to 2-2. Justin Lawrence, Matt Krook, Riley Cornelio, and Carson Palmquist pitched the remaining innings for the Nationals.

For Houston, Tatsuya Imai started and pitched 3.2 innings, giving up two earned runs on four hits with three walks. Steven Okert earned the win with 1.1 scoreless innings, striking out three batters.
