Late Rally Secures Victory

The Houston Astros overcame a tied game to defeat the San Francisco Giants 6-3 on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Oracle Park. The victory, secured in the 10th inning, improved the Astros’ record to 61-59, while the Giants dropped to 49-70.

The game remained tightly contested through the early and middle innings. Houston took an early 1-0 lead in the first inning when Alvarez scored on a sacrifice fly by Altuve. The Giants answered in the fourth, tying the score at 1-1 after Eldridge scored on a sacrifice fly by Gilbert.

The Astros regained the lead in the fifth inning when Lee hit a home run to right field, making the score 2-1.
