The U.S. News & World Report has recognized 48 companies from the Dallas-Fort Worth area in its latest Best Companies to Work For list, with Dallas itself being home to 24 of these honorees. Melissa is located about 37 miles north of Dallas, making this recognition relevant for local job seekers and residents.
The 2026-2027 rankings evaluated around 3,900 companies across 14 industries based on various factors, including pay, benefits, work-life balance, and opportunities for professional development. Notable companies from Dallas include Texas Instruments, Southwest Airlines, and the American Heart Association, among others.
Irving followed with 13 companies, such as Kimberly-Clark and Caterpillar. Plano had five companies recognized, including Tyler Technologies and Alkami. Fort Worth was represented by two companies, Farmer Brothers and Pier 1 Imports, while additional companies from the metroplex were located in Richardson, Carrollton, Hurst, and Southlake. This diverse representation highlights the strength and stability of the employment market in the region as it moves into the latter part of 2026.
