Melissa, Texas — Will Grier will join the Cowboys as an offensive assistant, beginning the role when training camp opens next week.
Dallas made the announcement July 24. The club said the 31-year-old had recently retired after an offseason with Carolina; ESPN reported he ended his playing career July 15.
Carolina selected Grier in the third round in 2019. He later had two separate Cowboys stints, largely in preseason and practice-squad roles.
The move reunites him with Brian Schottenheimer and Dak Prescott in the Cowboys organization.
