Melissa High School head football coach Matt Nally has been chosen to coach in the Under Armour All-America Game, a national showcase for top high school players, Melissa ISD announced Thursday.
The game will be played in early January in DeLand, Florida, and streamed on ESPN, according to the district, which said more details will come closer to the event.
"I'm incredibly honored to be selected to coach in the Under Armour All-America Game," Nally said in the district's announcement. He credited "the players, coaches, and families who have been part of my journey" and said he was "proud to represent Melissa on this stage."
His record
Nally took over the Cardinals in 2019. Since then his teams are 70-20 overall and 15-6 in the playoffs, the district says. He was named Coach of the Year in 2021, 2022 and 2023, Texas High School Coach of the Week in 2020 and Dallas Cowboys Coach of the Week in 2023.
